In church one morning, I saw a series of faces in a light display and felt led to go home and paint. I didn’t know what the end result would be but trusted God’s leading. After several months of prayer and struggling with the vision, the painting portrays Jesus on the cross with the two thieves. It is called, “Today in Paradise.” It is based on the scripture in Luke 23:42-43 (NIV) 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” This depicts Jesus and the two thieves, one in anguish and the other in surrender, forgiveness and blessed assurance!
